Wood Badge Beads...

Last night Matt was able to receive his wood badge beads for finishing his ticket. He went to wood badge last summer and at the end each participant is encouraged to make 5 goals and will help the scouting program in their home troop. Once they have finished all their goals they can receive their beads. It's a big honor. It's one of the highest award a leader can earn for training.

This is Matt and Cheryl. She was Matt's patrol leader at wood badge.

After he had been beaded he received a plaque for his work too.
Darrell, Cheryl, Matt and I. Darrell was the course leader at wood badge.

I am super proud of Matt for all the hard work he put into this. One of his goals was to get the Venturing Crew in our ward up and running. He got it running and now several of his boys are close to earning awards.

Noah's First Dance Recital...

video
We signed Noah up for dance class a few months ago. He is taking a hip hop class. He likes it but he doesn't like the performance part of it. The dance studio had it's winter benefit concert last weekend. I think he did really well. They were supposed to be dressed up like minions from Despicable Me. The day of the performance they couldn't find the goggles or the gloves for the boys costumes. I think those would have made it even better. Anyway we think he did really well for only a few months of practice. We are super proud of him for working so hard. If you can't tell Noah is the one closest to the camera at the beginning.
